Norm Kanar is Savant Labs Marketing & Sales Manager. Norm is excited about the possibilities of enhancing and growing Savant’s testing service business. He joined Savant Labs in April, 2013 after 17 years at Dow Corning Corporation with experience in manufacturing, process technology management, economic evaluation, and the last nine years in marketing. Greg Miiller is the Vice President Operations for The Savant Group of companies, and has been a member of the Savant Group for twenty-five years. His professional degrees in electronics and business have bolstered his career ascending to VP of Operations for the Savant Group. Greg has been with ASTM for 21 years serving as an officer of nine different groups between Subcommittee 7, 9 and CS96. He also serves as an officer on multiple groups with the Coordinating European Council (CEC), Energy Institute (EI) and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), authoring half a dozen technical publications and earning awards for excellence in his service. Greg also holds thirteen patents on a variety of laboratory instruments. He enjoys helping individuals discover their strengths and developing them for matching job roles. Tina Dasbach's responsibilities have expanded to include the Savant Labs Operations Manager. Tina joined Savant Group in October, 2013 as the Institute of Materials (IOM) Operations Manager. She previously worked for over 22 years at the Dow Chemical Company in various technical and marketing roles. Tina holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and her MS and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Canika Owen-Robinson is the Technical Advisor and Instrumentation Supervisor. Canika joined Savant Labs in December, 2005. Prior to her current role, Canika served as Senior Chemist for Savant Labs. She previously worked for seven years at the Dow Chemical Company in Automotive Manufacturing R&D as a Laboratory Technologist. Canika serves as a mentor for many youth in the area. She promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) by encouraging students to get involved in science as well as assisting students with science projects. Maggie Smerdon is the Savant Labs Administration and Quality Assurance Supervisor. She was previously the Quality Leader for Savant Labs. Maggie’s mission is to continually improve the excellence throughout the lab -- performing reference runs, calibrations, reviewing data along with comparative analysis and maintenance. Maggie has been a member of the Savant team for over 3 years and previously served as a Sergeant in the US Army. Enlisted for nearly 5 years, she served two tours of duty in Iraq. Dan Castanier, joined Savant Labs in March as a Customer Support Technician. This role provides the opportunity to touch the many phases of the testing process from customer inquiry, sample check-in, and results reporting. Dan comes to Savant Labs after extensive experience at Mid-Michigan Medical Center where he managed customer services within several clinical areas such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Diagnostic X-Ray for 17 years. Dan enjoys working with our clients to ensure accurate data reporting and customer satisfaction.
Cindy Esler is Savant Labs’ new Customer Service Technician. Cindy joins Savant Labs after 17 years in Marketing & Communications at Dow Corning Corporation. This role provides the unique opportunity to touch the many phases of the testing process from customer inquiry, sample check-in and scheduling to report preparation and delivery of results to our customers. Cindy’s passion is to provide world class service to the people she assists by responding to their needs in a timely manner with the most current information.
