  • The ILSAC GF-6A and GF-6B engine oil performance standard aimed at improving fuel economy and enhancing engine capabilities for passenger cars. The SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) has adopted these improvements in the SAE J183 standard. 

  • API CK-4 and FA-4, the API heavy-duty diesel engine oil specifications for heavy-duty trucks and equipment, provide for reduced carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions and engine durability while improving oxidation resistance, shear stability and aeration control.
  • GM dexos® is a motor oil specification that covers several viscosity grades, including SAE 5W-30, SAE 10W-30, and SAE 5W-20. To be certified as Dexos-compliant, motor oil must meet strict standards for performance in high-temperature conditions, wear protection, and deposit control.
  • SAE J300 to determine an engine oil’s SAE viscosity grade.
  • ACEA is the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association. With its European Oil Sequences, ACEA provides minimum standards for oils.
  • The NLGI High-Performance Multiuse (HPM) Grease Specification is designed with tests and limits for enhanced performance in the areas of water resistance, high load carrying capacity, saltwater corrosion resistance, and low-temperature performance.
