People on the Move

The Savant Group today announced that Tina Dasbach, Ph.D. (Operations Manager for Savant Labs and Institute of Materials), is retiring after seven years of service to the company and our customers.  She joined Savant Group in October 2013 as the Operations Manager for the Institute of Materials (IOM) and, in 2016, assumed the additional responsibilities as Savant Labs Operations Manager.  During this time, she was instrumental in expanding our IOM oil collection network into new countries, played a critical role in several safety improvement programs, and her level of customer service excellence in striving for high-quality output has been invaluable.  Tina previously worked for over 22 years at the Dow Chemical Company in various technical and marketing roles.  As she transitions to the next chapter, she will focus on family and her love of books.

 In light of Tina’s departure, Maggie Smerdon, Quality Assurance Supervisor, has been promoted to Operations Manager and will assume the Lab analytical leadership responsibilities.  In addition, Karrie Gordon, IOM Collection Coordinator, was promoted to Customer Experience Supervisor and will assume responsibilities for the Institute of Materials and Savant Labs.

 Best wishes to Tina Dasbach on her retirement and congratulations to Maggie Smerdon and Karrie Gordon on the well-deserved promotions.  The future is bright for the Savant Group companies.
