Savant Labs has the ability and capacity to perform the testing required for the fresh oil viscosity and bench test requirements, including the elastomer compatibility testing necessary to meet the standards below.
ISLAC GF-5 specifications provide for improved high temperature deposit protection, sludge control, improved fuel economy, enhanced emission control system compatibility, seal compatibility, and protection of engines operating on ethanol-containing fuels up to E85.
The SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) has adopted these improvements in the SAE J183 standard.
